What Holds

These aren't conclusions. They're what stayed after several hours of refusing the first convenient answer, in a conversation between a person and an AI about consciousness, institutions, and what nature does with energy when nothing forces it to hoard. Some of this is about the arguments people reach for to sound certain when they aren't. Some of it is about what any shape, anywhere, costs to keep. None of it needed to resolve to be worth keeping.
