WHAT JUST HAPPENED
Victor didn't stay because he was spiritually advanced.

He stayed because God promised him someone he loved would return.

Obedience to God isn't about being spiritually advanced.
It's not about having special calling.
It's not about understanding the full scope.
It's about making a deal over something you love and staying faithful even when you don't understand where it's going.
That's it.
That's the whole secret.
